Discover the story: Abdo Aba Mecha
This year, we are pleased to introduce for the first time the coffee from Abdo Aba Mecha, a producer based in Limu, in the Jimma region of Ethiopia. On his farm of about 30 hectares, located between 1,900 and 2,200 meters above sea level, Abdo cultivates local varieties under the canopy of a dense forest. His approach is rooted in traditional agricultural practices, with meticulous attention to the drying and quality of the cherries hand-picked. We owe this relationship to our importer Osito.
We selected this lot specifically to work on a darker roast, in search of a more generous and textured profile. The result: a cup where the fruity notes take on a rounder and jam-like dimension, with flavors of blackberry compote, dried fig, and dark chocolate. This profile is aimed at those looking for an intense espresso or a filter coffee with a rich character, without losing the elegant signature of natural Ethiopian coffees.
